SMS Text Message Program

MedXwaste LLC (“MedXwaste,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers an optional SMS text message notification program to help our customers stay informed about their medical waste pickup schedules, account activity, and service updates. This page describes how the program works, how customers opt in, and how to manage messaging preferences.

How It Works

Our SMS program is integrated into the MedXwaste Customer Portal — a secure, login-protected account management system provided to each customer. SMS notifications are entirely optional and require explicit action by the customer to enable.

Opt-In Process

Our SMS opt-in process involves two steps:

Step 1: Portal Invitation

A MedXwaste account administrator sends the customer a Portal Invite via email. This branded email includes:

• A login URL to the MedXwaste Customer Portal
• The customer’s email address and a temporary password
• A highlighted call-out encouraging the customer to opt in to SMS service reminders after logging in

Step 2: Customer Opts In via the Portal

After logging into the MedXwaste Customer Portal, the customer navigates to the “My Account” page, where they will find a Service Reminders section. To opt in:

1. The customer toggles the SMS Reminders switch to ON
2. A phone number input field appears
3. The customer enters their mobile phone number and saves their preference

By enabling SMS reminders and providing their phone number, the customer expressly consents to receive text messages from MedXwaste LLC regarding their account and services.

The following consent disclosure is displayed directly below the SMS opt-in toggle in the Customer Portal:

“By enabling SMS reminders and providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from MedXwaste LLC regarding your account and services. Msg & data rates may apply. Frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.”

Types of Messages

Customers who opt in may receive the following types of SMS messages:

• Appointment Reminders — Notifications about upcoming medical waste pickup dates and times
• Service Confirmations — Confirmation of scheduled or completed pickups
• Account Notifications — Invoice alerts, payment confirmations, and links to compliance documents
• Operational Alerts — Driver ETAs, route updates, and schedule changes
• Customer Support — Responses to customer inquiries and service requests

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your service schedule and account activity. Typical customers receive between 2–10 messages per month.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message from MedXwaste LLC
• Logging into the Customer Portal and turning off the SMS Reminders toggle on the My Account page

After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

Cost

MedXwaste LLC does not charge for SMS notifications. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Please contact your wireless provider for details.

Privacy
